The attorney for Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said the misdemeanor charge against him will likely be resolved after the Olympics and before the NBA season begins, the Lansing State Journal reported.Green took part via FaceTime in a pre-trial conference Thursday to discuss the charge of misdemeanor assault or assault and battery, the newspaper reported.Green, a Michigan State graduate, got into an altercation with former Spartan football player Jermaine Edmondson outside an East Lansing restaurant on July 10.

EAST LANSING, Mich. — An attorney for Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green says a misdemeanor assault and battery charge from a confrontation near the Michigan State campus may be resolved after the U.S. basketball team competes in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.The attorney, James Heos, tells the Lansing State Journal (http://on.lsj.com/2afT4KC) that Green appeared during a closed-door pretrial conference Thursday in East Lansing District Court via FaceTime.The U.S. team starts play in Rio on Aug. 6.
